There are moments in the year when the Earth invites us to slow down, turn inward and listen more deeply. Samhain is one of these thresholds - a time of reflection, release and honouring as we move into the darker half of the year.
Dreaming With The Earth is an invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life and return to a slower rhythm guided by the Earth’s wisdom, seasonal cycles and the creative voice within. Over three days, we will immerse ourselves in land, listening, creativity and ritual - creating space to reconnect with the natural world, nurture your creative voice and listen for what wants to emerge.
Samhain - The Turning Of The Wheel
Samhain is an ancient Celtic festival marking the transition from the lighter half of the year into the darker months of winter. Traditionally, it was a time to honour the end of the harvest, gather in community, and acknowledge the natural cycles of completion, rest and renewal.
Often described as a time when the veils between worlds are at their thinnest, Samhain invites us to turn inward, honour the mysteries of the season, and reconnect with the wisdom of the land.
Dreaming With The Earth
At the heart of this retreat is a simple practice: listening. Listening to the land, to ourselves, and to the subtle invitations that arise when we slow down enough to receive.

Together, we will step away from the pace of everyday life and wander the land in silence and deep receptivity, allowing the more-than-human world to become our guide and inspiration. We will explore what it means to experience the living Earth as intelligent, alive and in relationship with us.
EXPRESSION
From this place of listening, creativity can emerge naturally. Through writing, storytelling, poetry, art, movement and shared reflection, we will explore what wants to be expressed through us through relationship, curiosity and receptivity. This is where we allow the Earth to participate in our imagination and discover more of our own creative voice.

DEEP LISTENING & RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LAND
Time on the land to wander with curiosity, practise deep listening, and build a deeper relationship with the natural world. Allow the landscape to become a guide, a companion and a source of inspiration.
CREATIVE EXPRESSION & FOLLOWING WHAT WANTS TO EMERGE
Creative exploration through writing, storytelling, poetry, art and shared expression — allowing ideas, insights and inspiration to find form. Space to follow your creative voice without pressure and discover what wants to emerge.
RITUAL, STORY & COMMUNITY
Sacred storytelling and ritual to honour the turning of the year. A Samhain storytelling ceremony at this seasonal threshold - a time to reflect, share, celebrate and gather around the fire in community.
NOURISHMENT, REST & RENEWAL
Seasonal meals shared together, creating space for nourishment, conversation and connection. Time beside the rivers and lake to rest, wander, reflect and simply be with the landscape, alongside sauna, warmth and quiet moments to restore body and mind.

Samhain Storytelling Ceremony
HONOURING THE TURNING OF THE WHEEL
At the heart of our time together, we will gather in ceremony at the threshold of Samhain to mark Nature’s New Year.
Through sacred storytelling, ritual and reflection, we will reflect on the year that has passed, acknowledge what is ready to be released, give thanks for what has shaped us, and listen for what is beginning to emerge as we enter the darker months ahead.
We will attune ourselves to the deeper mythic presence of Samhain - creating space to recognise where we are, what has changed, and what we consciously wish to carry forward with awareness and intention.Â
Our Home In West Wales
VELINDRE HOUSE
We will gather at Velindre House, a beautifully restored 18th-century home set within private grounds surrounded by rivers, woodland and open countryside.
With wood fires, welcoming communal spaces and direct access to the landscape, the house offers a peaceful sanctuary for our time together — a place to slow down, reconnect and be nourished by the natural world around us.
RIVERS & WOODLAND
Rivers flow through the grounds, with beautiful walking country and woodland surrounding the house.
LAKE & COLD WATER
A natural lake offers a place for reflection, stillness and cold-water immersion for those who wish to take part.
SAUNA & FIRE
A wood-fired sauna and indoor and outdoor fire circles create spaces for warmth, restoration, storytelling and connection.
DARK SKIES & AUTUMN LANDSCAPE
With dark skies for stargazing and the deep seasonal atmosphere of late autumn in Wales, the landscape becomes an important part of the experience.
About Your Guide
Samantha has always been fascinated by the relationship between creativity, story, ceremony and the living Earth. For over 11 years, she has been creating and holding spaces where people can reconnect with their own expression, listen more deeply and explore what wants to emerge through them in relationship with the natural world.
Her connection with the Earth deepened profoundly in her early 20s when she travelled from the city into the Australian bush and spent time learning from Aboriginal elders at women’s culture and lore camps. Through their teachings and their deep relationship with the land, she began to experience the natural world as alive, intelligent and highly aware.
Over time, spending time alone on the land became a place of deep nourishment and clarity for Samantha — a place where she returns to herself and her inner wisdom. This devotion has been nurtured through more than a decade of learning with incredible teachers, elders and visionary practitioners.
Dreaming With The Earth is a vision Samantha received through her own Vision Questing, and it feels deeply meaningful to bring this experience to life — creating a space where others can reconnect with the land, their creativity and the deeper wisdom that emerges through this relationship.
